Trigger Point Dry Needling

  1. What is trigger point dry needling (TDN)?
TDN involves multiple advances of a small needle into the muscle in the region of a “trigger point”.  The aim of dry needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain.  It is an effective treatment for acute or chronic pain with very few side effects. What is FMS? FMS is a screening process which looks at movement patterns in the body that are key to normal function.  By screening these movement patterns, the FMS identifies functional limitations and asymmetries.
